About Us

Private dentistry in London, done properly

A modern private practice in the historic heart of London's medical district — combining experienced, GDC-registered clinicians with transparent pricing and genuinely unhurried care.

CQC regulatedDentist-owned, not a chain

Wimpole Dental sits on Wimpole Street in Marylebone — a street that has been synonymous with medical excellence for over a century. We think that heritage carries an obligation: to practise dentistry to a high clinical standard, and to treat every patient with the candour and respect they'd expect from a trusted physician.

Our team covers the full spectrum of modern dentistry in-house — from check-ups, hygiene and emergency care through to ProAligner clear aligners, cosmetic bonding, veneers, implants and full-mouth reconstruction. That means no bouncing between practices, and one team accountable for your whole journey.

We publish our full price list, our clinicians' GDC numbers and genuine patient results because we believe informed patients make better decisions — and because regulation and transparency are the foundation of trust in healthcare.

Our Values

What we stand for

Honesty first

We recommend treatment only when it genuinely serves you. Every plan is written, itemised and explained in plain English before anything begins.

Regulated and accountable

The practice is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and every clinician is on the General Dental Council register — with numbers published on this site.

Comfort by design

From the first phone call to your final review, everything is built around making dentistry calm — especially if you're nervous.

Modern methods, proven care

Digital planning, minimally invasive techniques and evidence-based dentistry — never gimmicks or unproven shortcuts.

Our Location

Our home on Wimpole Street

Wimpole Street runs through the heart of Marylebone's medical district, directly adjacent to Harley Street — an area that has been associated with medicine since physicians and surgeons began settling in its Georgian townhouses in the nineteenth century. The street lends its name to the Royal Society of Medicine at number one, and practising here places us among some of the longest-established healthcare addresses in London. We think that setting carries an obligation to match: careful, accountable clinical care, delivered without hurry.

The location is also genuinely practical. Bond Street, Oxford Circus and Regent's Park underground stations are all within walking distance, buses run along nearby Wigmore Street, and patients travel to us from across London and beyond. Street parking in Marylebone is limited, so we generally suggest public transport. If you have any access or mobility requirements, please contact us about accessibility before your visit and we'll do our best to help.

Facilities

Facilities & equipment

Behind the period frontage, the practice is equipped for modern dentistry. We use digital X-rays, which can produce images in seconds at a lower radiation dose than traditional film, and intraoral scanning, which allows us to take detailed digital impressions of your teeth for many treatments — often avoiding the conventional impression trays some patients find uncomfortable. Digital records also make it easier to show you what we can see and to monitor changes over time.

Just as importantly, our cross-infection control procedures follow current national guidance, with dedicated decontamination processes and single-use items where appropriate. Equipment is maintained and tested on a regular schedule, and our standards are open to inspection by the Care Quality Commission. If you'd like to know more about how any of our equipment is used in your own treatment, just ask — your dentist will be happy to explain.

Regulation & compliance

  • Care Quality Commission. The practice is regulated by the CQC, England's independent regulator of health and social care. Inspection reports are public at cqc.org.uk.
  • General Dental Council. All 9 clinical team members are GDC-registered. Verify any number on the public GDC register — they're listed on each team profile.
  • Advertising standards. Our marketing follows ASA/CAP guidance for healthcare: genuine patient photos with consent, no guaranteed outcomes, and clear, transparent pricing.
  • Complaints. If we ever fall short, our complaints procedure explains how to raise a concern — including your right to contact the Dental Complaints Service.
